Mr. Frank Audenearde at the working section

Aiming to concretize the cooperative terms between Hogeschool ZeeLand University, Holland and TVU after siging, Mr. Frank Audenearde – Head of International Management Office, Hogeschool ZeeLand University visited TVU.

In the working section, the two schools came up with an agreement to cooperate in the two-stage programs specialized in Chemical Technology, in which students will spend 2-3 year studying at TVU and the rest at Hogeschool ZeeLand University where awards the certificate to them. The school expected to open short-term programs in the future.

Mr. Dennis Berg to give talk at the working section

At 8:30 am at the main hall of Aqua-Agriculture Faculty, Prof. PhD. Dennis Berg – Dean of Sociology Faculty, California State University, Fullerton, America shared his experiences with TVU’s teachers in research methodology, as well as new teaching approaches.

With 40-year experience of doing scientific research, he provided the teachers with essential and useful information in this field, and answered their questions through his experiences. He gave them such useful advices as: teachers should get familiar with groupwork, the way how to offer and accept contributory comment and how to balance teaching time and doing science research with the hope that teachers can gain better results in doing scientific research.

On the occasion of Canada Day, July 1st, 2008, TVU in collaboration with Vietnam – Canada Friendship Association at Tra Vinh Province organized the celebration of the important day. The formal celebration took place at the main hall of Aqua-Agriculture Faculty of the school.

Participating the celebration, there were MS. Nguyen Tien Dung, TVU Vice-rector and Vice-president of Vietnam – Canada Friendship Association; distinguished guests from My Lan Chemical Company; Ms. Sandee Carson, Canadian volunteer, who is working at Victory Informatics – Foreign Language Center (VIFL) of TVU along with TVU teachers and students.

On June 13, 2008, in the collaboration between TVU and Canadian institutions, TVU warmly welcomed Mr. Axel Alliez, International Projects Coordinator, Université de Guelph, Campus d’Alfred, Canada. Receiving Mr.Axel Alliez were Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – The Rector, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung – The Vice-Rector along with TVU departments’ representatives.

In the meeting, a TVU representative generally introduced to Mr. Alliez about the school’s infrastructure and training programs. Also, Mr. Alliez gave a brief introduction about Université de Guelph, Campus d’Alfred, where he is working, with various training programs for students. After the meeting, Mr. Alliez made a facility tour around the school.
