Aiming to make favorable conditions for TVU students as well as MeKong Delta’s in learning American educational system, standardized examinations and searching scholarships for overseas studying in America, TVU held the workshop “American Overseas Studying, scholarships and standardized examinations” in collaboration with Institute of International Education (IIE).
To represent IIE, there were Ms. Patricia Chow – IIE New York senior specialist, Ms. Quach Thi My Ngoc – IIE Vietnam Vice-director and the delegation. To represent TVU Rector Board, there were Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Rector and MS. Nguyen Tien Dung – Vice-rector. Besides, there were some special guests from some colleges in Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Vung Tau, etc. Students of these schools and of TVU also attended the workshop. |

To follow the instruction of the Ministry of Education and Training on renovating teaching methodology at colleges and universities so as to enhance training quality and develop teachers and students’ interest in learning and teaching, on February 18, 2009, Tra Vinh University (TVU) held the workshop on “ Renovation of Teaching Methodology” to evaluate the state of renovating teaching methodology in recent years and figure out proposals and solutions for enhancing teaching quality at TVU.

On February 16, 2009, Tra Vinh University (TVU) successfully held the workshop on experiment of some imported safe- raised vegetables t Campus I, TVU. Attending the workshop there were Mr. Tran Hoan Kim – Chairman of province Committee Secretary and President of Tra Vinh People’s Committee; Ms. Son Thi Anh Hong – Vice-president of Tra Vinh People’s Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Chim – Coordinator of Vietnam Heritage Institute and sponsor of vegetable varieties to TVU along with some specials guests represented provincial agencies and farmers from the districts. Besides, TVU Rector Board and representatives from centers and faculties also presented at the workshop. |

On February 16, 2009, Ms. Barbara Old, Dean of Community and International Education, College of New Caledonia (CNC), Canada, visited Tra Vinh University (TVU). PhD. Pham Tiet Khanh, TVU’s Rector, and representatives of the school’s centers and faculties gave her a warmly welcome.

On July 26, 2007, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung, Standing Deputy Prime Minister along with the governmental delegation visited TVU. To accompany the delegation are Mr. Son Song Son – Deputy Manager of Southwest Management Department, Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh – Provincial Committee’s Secretary, Mr. Tran Hoan Kim – President of Tra Vinh People’s Committee and relevant authorities as well. |
